I've tried versions of these. The cats in my house were not a fan of these types of brushes. They ran from being brushed which is like drugs to them.

All I have to do is hold a brush and like piranhas to flesh, they swarm.

I thought the steam effect might help get their winter coats out of their fur. It seemed so logical.

I tried it with two different styles, they both used some version of ultrasound to make mist. It must be something they can hear because it freaked them out.

Your mileage may vary, but 4 out of 4 cats in my house hated me for a while.
