Nice to see two USB 4 ports (Best Buy's specs are of course incomplete).

Tempting. I've been looking for a white mobo to upgrade from my B650 MAG. I'm switching to a white build and the motherboard and GPU are the last pieces. Can't do much beyond my PNY 5070ti so mobo swap is really the only thing left.

It's nice that this has 2 front panel usb ports (my case supports both as well as 2 usbc connectors).

Hrmm...I don't mind the price difference (could easily resell my mobo) but is it worth the mobo swap effort to upgrade to x870e? 🤔

pcieX5 is only worth it if your spending the extra cash for the x5 NVME, I'm not, I am stickling with the cheaper X4 drives. The E gives you the x5 for the GPU as well but even that isn't necessary unless you have a 5090 and then it is marginal gains. So up to you how much those small benefits are worth it to spend on!

Yeah, those are minor gains.

I'm running a pair of Samsung 990 Pros and they are plenty fast. The 5070ti supports PCIE 5 but 4 is more than enough for it. Plus I'm forced to run the gpu vertical (clearance against glass side panel is tight) so I'm stuck with PCIE4 riser.

This upgrade would be mostly for more usb ports (front and rear) + wifi7, better components, white mobo (mostly), and cleaner heatsinks. Slight audio upgrade too.
