So it is actually back, not sure why the CEO would say otherwise. And like last time I am assuming they'll allow us to just buy the phone?

There is 500 to be sold, and amount of people who will be trying is massive. They will be sold in minutes.

Good luck snatching it.

Can we use any plan, like the cheap $10/mo one or does it have to be unlimited starter?

Mint mobile has Pixel 9 with 2 years plan for 360$ which seems better deal if you also need plan. Unlock policy is 60 days.

There is a reddit post saying by CEO, in the first sale, there were 2500 units of pixel 9 .
Since there is high demand, he got 500 more for this sale.

For Samsung or Moto phone users, I would not recommend Google phones. The Google search column is bottom of front screen, and it does not allow to choose active apps. Also, the Google search column can't arrange or move to different space.

Its true the default pixel launcher isn't great but if it bothers you so much, you can just install a different launcher

Not sure if this still works but you can sign up for a cheaper Mint plan and get the Pixel 9 for $299.99 as an existing customer. I did this last fall with the $35 5gb 3 month plan.

from the website...

"$550 off Pixel 9: The purchased device is locked to US Mobile at the time of sale and will automatically unlock after 90 days of continuous service on a US Mobile line. If the unlock criteria are not met, the device will unlock automatically after 12 months."

I bought the $17.50/10GB plan, 12 months. I won't often use that much data, but that's okay, given the price.

Edit: according to the terms of service, this deal requires an "unlimited" plan in order to unlock in 90 days. Is this true? I don't know. I bought the cheapest "unlimited" plan, to hedge the bet. I don't need fast unlock, as long as the service and phone works properly, which I assume it will.

Can confirm. Moto's launcher is great. Pixel's isn't. I really miss moto actions too. Still the pixels are a LOT more premium. That being said do not trust that water resistance rating for any phone.
Still I bought Nova Prime like 20 years ago and after a few tweaks everything is great just how I like it.
