Isn't R454b crazy expensive? I think the Yita was R32

This is same company. It's an AUX rebranded. You can tell by the remote. Same remote as the YITA HOME. I bought 2 of the Yita home (24K BTU) and they both have been working great for the past 2 months. Wouldn't hesitate to get another. Not sure which is cheaper but I think they're literally both the same and just rebranded AUX.

From a quick google search, I'm not an expert, R454b appears to be a little higher in cost than R32 and it's made using R32.

I can get a tank of R32 for $400, i think its a 20lb and the same in 454 is over $1000. Now that I'm looking $1400+ for a 20lb

I think most new mini split requires to run on R454b, some stock still using R32. 18.5 SEER2 seems low efficiency for something using R454b.

If this is the same one as Yitahome (supposedly 21 SEER2) then I doubt Yitahome is actually 21 SEER2. It's probably the same SEER2 as this Garvee one. I just bought two. Yitahome had a sale but only for the 110V not the 220v. Can't beat $385 shipped for a mini split lol

R-454B is a blend with 69% R32 and it must be charged like R-410A. The components of R-454B leak at different rates, while R-32 is a single component refrigerant and can be added in the field without concern of composition change.
Regulatory - There are no published regulations or granted EPA petitions that state R-32 will be prohibited in the U.S. after 2029.
R32 also has a higher system efficiency and capacity than R-454B and on top of that R32 is open formulation while R-454B is proprietary.
So 69 your 45.

Does this system come pre-charged? I'm going to DIY, but it doesn't say if I need to vacuum the lines or not and if the refrigerant comes pre charged

It is amazing that these things can be so crazy cheap. They are getting not much more than you had to pay for window AC unit some good years back when the value of money was higher.
