There's nothing to be confused about. You're lacking thank knowledge of prepaid VISA gift cards that always have a fee to activate them. Amazon gift cards are store gift cards which don't have activation fee. VISA gift cards can work just about anywhere. Amazon gift cards can only work on Amazon.com. This deal is really rare. Would be nice if it works online with some cash back site

From Staples, yes. Also keep in mind that a lot of online subscription Services don't accept gift cards for that very reason. Much better chance with MCGC vs VGC.
Hopefully nobody is buying gift cards with cash. Especially those paying fees.
