As someone who has never used a generator like this, I would assume a dual fuel would work better. I just imagine rarely used small motors like this gunking up from old gasoline gel. Propane seems like a better option, but curious if anyone that has experience with these to give some feedback? I understand gas has its benefits, but seems dirty in this application unless used more frequently, thoughts? TIA

These generators with 80cc engines are under powered from my perspective. The Honda EU2200i has a 121cc engine and a better job keeping up as the load changes. I know the Honda is a lot more $$.

Yes I prefer dual fuel. I don't want to gum up the carb, and propane will basically store forever. However many of the modern generators have a fuel shut off switch. So you would not have to worry about gas sitting in the carb while storing.

I think your point is super valid, but in the end, it's all about $ and for some this might be awesome for short time backup, vs spend 4-5x on honda

This generator would easily power a fridge/fans. Typical fridge uses 400-800w.

I have both types of generators. The key to keeping a gasoline generator carb in good condition is twofold:

1) Non-ethanol fuel. ALWAYS.

2) When finished running, cut off the fuel with the fuel switch, and let it die via fuel starvation. This will evacuate all of the fuel in the carb, leaving it clean, dry and ready for the next run.

You could also empty the thank of any remaining fuel, but with non-ethanol fuel, not so important.

I run all of my farm/landscape/garden/generator related devices on non-ethanol fuel. Have done so for the last five years or so, and it's made a dramatic difference in reliability. I can store a piece of equipment like this, with fuel in it, and it will start immediately a year later, after proper prime/choke.

is this Chinese website legit? after entering coupon code it says "For security reasons your request can't currently be processed". I tried a different browser, tried to type it, logged in and out, tried another account. nothing is working. update: tried a last account I created and it worked
