You do you, but I wouldn't want to wire up any cheap old ceiling fan in my house.

Is this good enough to replace a fan on a rental?

Would this be an easy install for someone with little to no home repair experience? I currently just have an empty spot on my ceiling with no wire setup

No. Not that it's overly difficult for a handy person but for you, no.

Make sure you use the OP posted code instead of clipping the coupon

I WAS WRONG: Coupon is less generous now. Total is $68.89

When you get to the checkout page, choose 'payment method' and there's a spot to enter this code, then when you go to checkout it shows the better (50% off) code applied. Also, if you don't like this one, go the their store page and there's lots of others with discount codes that apply. I got a 42" one for a smaller room and it was $53. Somehow, it's being delivered tomorrow.

You have to get in your attic, add a junction box to tapo off a hot wire somewhere and add a new circuit to the fan, add a fan bracket between ceiling studs, cut a hole in the ceiling, drill through the wall top plate and feed conduit down inside your wall to a place where you want to install the wall switch, etc. it's not easy for most people

I don't think my house has an attic. Does every house have one?

LABeav gave great advice. If you would have said you had a regular light in your ceiling, and you wanted to replace it with a fan, it is more doable...but still not easy, for someone to DIY. The good news is that this is a cheap price for a 52" fan (not sure about quality, but price is good), and you could probably find an electrician in a Facebook group, maybe get them for $100-$150 to install it (depending on your area). In the DIY world, electricity isn't something you want to experiment with. Find good deals...then pay someone to install it, and ask questions and learn as they do it.

The $100-$150 installation is for a spot that already has the wirings in place. If the electrician has to run a new line and install a new switch, it will cost far more.

That's what I'm looking at too. There's only 42 reviews, but they're all positive, and over 300 people bought it last month. I'm debating on getting this, or just waiting a couple weeks for Prime Day starting on July 8th. And when Amazon has Prime Day, Walmart will have deals and so will Target. But the reviews and this listing looks good, especially with the dB volume of the fan. Remember, it's not a $50 fan, it's a $100 fan that is now $50 with the coupon.

If you buy this, you'll be saying "Ohniyou why did my ceiling fan fall off its mount".

You could skip the wall switch, which saves a chunk of work. I haven't wired a wall switch for a fan in more than 15 years. (Although then that does make the fan last as long as the remote does.
