Whatever dock you get for car vent make sure it has the metal hook that tightens on the vent. Those are rock solid; not like the ones that just squeeze in there and fall out while driving.

Looks like the first two have a turn to lock (squeeze) the prongs to grab the bent flap. That's probably better then the typical slide in mechanisms but I don't know if it'll work better than the hooks

Nope. If you have a case already, then it needs to be MagSafe compatible. You can get one from Amazon for like 10 bucks.
