These are 10 mg famotidine tablets, for $10 you can buy 2, that is 360 tablets (2.77 cents/10 mg tablet). Beats everything else on Amazon, except...

Amazon's own 200 count 20 mg famotidine tablets, which sell for $9.61 (4.81 cents/tablet or 2.41 cents per 10 mg) which is the more economical option by 15 percent. https://www.amazon.com/Basic-Care...B074F18H4B

Of course, this assumes you either have an use for max strength (20 mg) tablets, or you know how to break it apart to use it at different times. On the other hand, if you only have 10 mg tablets and have a serious hearburn you can simply take two of these 10 mg tablets.

ETA: the Amazon brand also comes in 400 count, which is even cheaper per tablet (and also per 10 mg) by 25%. The only unknown is the expiration date. Four hundred pills is a lot; good for a year if fresh.

No, this is a not a proton pump inhibitor. The brand name for famotidine is Pepcid.

Costco's famotidine 20 mg is cheaper (usually 250 pills for 11 dollars or less when there's a sale).

Indeed, 20 mg is the highest dose that can be bought OTC. But really, imprudent ones, or in cases of dire need, would take two 20 mg or four 10 mg ones instead.

I know, I miss zantac, but these work for me, also switching to dark roast coffee made a big difference too

I wouldn't recommend the cube shaped Famotidine that Amazon now sells in the 20mg size. Many reviews saying they're not nearly as effective as the round tablets, for whatever reason.

The 10Mg work better for me, and can take a second after a couple hours since its half a dose anyway. Getting old does suck. These work the best out of anything I have tried before and I was a zantac 75 person too before it was banned. I have legitly bought two of these before because its hard to find the lower dosage of 10mg because everyone else sells the max dosage of 20mg. Im a big guy too, so if anything I thought more would be better but less is actually better for me.
