In what way? It literally says $699 on Samsung.com.

Too bad it's not 4K. I have a different Samsung gaming monitor that's 4K 144hz and has been great for the last 3 years. Highly recommend it!

It means that it's gimmick pricing. If you have any common sense, you would've waited a week (for the every other week sale on this item) at any point over the last few years and paid < $400.

Yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that Samsung, the manufacturer, says that the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price is $700, does it? What do you think an SD poster should put in that field when posting the deal?

I got this monitor for $97 after a whole bunch of codes and government discount (see attached). MSRP was around $400 at that time.
It's fine enough for $97 for sure, but no PC seems to wake it properly. I've tried with integrated AMD graphics, an RX580, and a 3060 with no luck. Played with damn near every setting and can't seem to get it to work. Seems to be a known issue with a number of Samsung monitors.
It also has color reproduction problems where I have to reboot my entire Windows 11 system to get it not wash out, oversaturate, or blast the brightness. It shows immediately upon boot and a reboot always fixes it. Should add: I have an LG C3 and a Monoprice 1080p 165hz monitor also connected that never have these color issues.
Works well enough for $97, but I'd think before dropping $250 on this pretty turd of a monitor.

32 QHD < 27 QHD though for mixed needs.

I had the 32" and used it as a sidecar entertainment monitor (I loved it) but the QHD just wasn't crisp enough watching TV at a desk.

Not arguing the semantics over the gist.

The gist should me important than the semantics and the gist is what the monitor is actually worth paying for.

Again. What should the SD poster put in the field when posting the deal?

This was in large part due to Samsung mess ups with another order. They've done this with me a number of times, providing multiple codes when only 1 was promised, or providing refunds for... no apparent reason. Setting up EPP, EDU, or government accounts (if doable) are the legit way to get pretty good deals regularly!

My 27" samsung had lines, artifacts, so I returned it and it was under warranty so they sent me a replacement. Sometimes artifacts show up but I just need to turn it off and on and it's fine.

Overall other than the minor artifacts I am satisfied. I also updated the driver.
