Must be targeted as I don't see the additional 20% back with prime visa.

I have the prior version of this, along with a number of TP Deco mesh units, and oddly enough I have trouble getting my outside cameras to join this AP even though they are line-of-sight. The Deco software doesn't seem to allow me to choose an AP for a specific device. I am powering it through POE, which works very well, so it's got a nice wired backhaul.

Anyway, that was the older version so maybe it's not an issue here but fair warning that I didn't have the experience I was expecting.

The price with the Amazon Prime 20% back makes this a great deal, if you receive it (I did).

I also have the older version with an M5 and M4R. You need at least all M5 to use a feature called connection preference which is what you're looking for. We both missed out on that. The older version of this unit has a number of issues which I ran into as well and we're partially corrected with constant service support. I still see dropouts when streaming music from Alexa's connected to this older unit.

forgive my ignorance, but I'm hoping those of you smarter than me can answer this: I bought the recent costco deal for TP-Link Deco BE11000 Wi-Fi 7

will this pair nicely with that setup? I recall hearing that if like your throughput or bandwidth doesn't exactly match the rest of the system, then the rest of the system will completely downgrade to match the lowest performing unit.

would I be at risk of that if i added this to my network? I love the idea of having an AP outside for the back lawn, but not if it's going to impact the rest of my network, which is running like a dream right now!

i appreciate any insight on this, thanks!'

EDIT: A quick ask on various AI gpts suggests that I do not need to worry; the mesh network will NOT be degraded. If I'm connected to the outdoor unit, I will be connected at a lower speed simply because that unit runs at a lower speed, but the rest of my network will not be impacted significantly by adding this. so i'm gonna bite, thanks OP!

Hmm, is your prime card the default? I see 20% cash back on the page. Debated about getting it, but have wifi 6 tri band inside and wifi 6 outside, so would be a waste... But this is slickdeals

Under the quantity adjustment in the cart, it doesn't have a drop down with additional reward details?

This is worse than triband wifi6e routers and also way overpriced. Tplink also does not update their firmware after a year or two leaving you with a router chock full of security vulnerabilities. Avoid.

I have the AX3000 (X50 Outdoor) + a mix of XE75, X50-POE and much older S4, but I can remove/replace the S4 if that will give me the connection preference in the app...

Went down the rabbit hole and it looks like my S4 (v1) is what is holding me back. Going to remove that from the network and give it a shot.
