The question is: What is the failure rate of this model? FYI: Samsung's G9 monitors have a history of a high failure rate.

Avoid open-box and refurbished CRG9 units. You never know when you might need a warranty, and the box is almost as big as a fridge, so it's best to get it from a local vendor for the best chance of avoiding a DOA and for easy warranty replacement.

Yeah, this would be a great price if it were through Bestbuy or samsung directly, but these things have such a high failure rate that an open box 3rd party seller is only gonna be worth it if it's 80%+ off. The hassle of shipping this back and the risk of them not taking it is way too high.

I was in the market for one but I opted not to after a friend of mine got a similar model. He ordered a G95SC direct through Samsung EPP with the Samsung Care package and ended up swapping it 2 times via shipping. It took over a month before he got one that worked properly.

I got the refrub 49" samsung a couple years ago and its still going strong. I trust refurbs. I don't think I've been burned by a refurb before. As for this monitor, awesome price on an oled version.
