Reviews don't seem as good as they were for the remake of RE2. But this is the one I didn't get to play as a kid, so at $18 why not?

Not as good as RE2 and some of the dialogue is cingey. Game is still good though. If you enjoyed RE2 you will have fun with this one for $18 bucks.

I never played the original RE3, though I played the crap out of this remake. Got the Platinum trophy on PS4. Personally really enjoyed it. Most critics reviews of this game were with the original game in mind, but if you don't have that nostalgia, this game is perfectly serviceable and enjoyable.

The main thing people cite as an issue is that there was a lot of cut content (comparing RE3 original to this remake). In fact, if you get to know the game familiarly, it's possible to play through the RE3 remake entire story in about two hours. That actually made the replay value a bit more gratifying for me, as I could redo the story through Easy, Hard, and Inferno difficulty modes. Trying to beat the game with no heals and no saves is even more satisfying.

As you can tell, I honestly loved RE3 remake, and even with its limited content, it's wholly worth $18. Loads of fun, and very tightly nicely paced.
