FYI, the data rate for these seem to be usb 2.0 @ 480mbps.

Yea, most USB-C cables seem to be targeted towards fast charging and not fast data rate. You have to seek out the high-speed data cables which are more expensive and shorter. If the cable has fast data speed, they will typically advertise that in the product title, e.g. 20Gbps. Cable Matters seemed to make the most cost-effective ones on the Amazons at about $32 for (2) 6ft cables at 20Gbps.
