Bought it at Costco warehouse. It's $349.99 or $30 cheaper than on costco.com. The $100 OFF is valid from 5/14/25 to 6/15/25. I installed it in my son's room. He said it's a lot better than the old Sharp single-hose AC.

A 20K BTU unit will need a 240V circuit. A 10K can usually run on 15A 120V circuit. If you can plug them into different 120V circuits, you can run 2 10K units simultaneously. On the same circuit, they will likely trip the breaker.

Does the fan continue running at volume when it reaches temp and the compressor turns off? I have a different that has a very noticeable clunk on and off when it reaches temp and then turns back on. It's basically unusable at night with the noise.

I have been using this for about a month now. In dry mode which works as a dehumidifier turns machine on and off that makes some noise but cool mode (air conditioner) doesn't make much noise since it uses inverter. It's pretty quiet unless you keep the fan at the highest setting. Highest fan setting has significant noise.

I believe for Mass, there is also an additional $40 rebate going on for these more energy efficient models.

Yeah, this one has a explicit setting which says to keep running the fan continuously even after you hit the target cooling temperature.

Is it better to just get one 20K+ BTU or two 10K+ BTU units for my condo and close all unnecessary doors for rooms we aren't in?

also, do these ever come with external temp sensors? IE if the other side of the large living room is 75 degrees, but the temp by the air conditioner is 65, it would kick on based on the other temp sensor

The remote can be used ad a remote sensor

Looks exactly like the Toshiba 14,000 BTU 115V Inverter Dual Hose Portable Air Conditioner I got last year for 250 from Woot! Same remote and everything. It did its thing when my HVAC was down for a week. I bought an extended hose from Amazon. It can be loud at high, but it kept the temp down. I should have bought two.

Two units will likely outperform a single if you can space them out at opposite ends of the area you're cooling.

Got the same one and used it non stop in a upstairs bedroom during summer, does work great. My issue with it was the really bad mold growth deep in it; not just the vents. I kept it clean and ran the dry mode? and fan etc etc. I never had a drain hose hooked up to it (never said too). I took it apart as much as I safely could after removing like 40 screws and still couldn't get to the most inner workings; cleaned it as much as I could. Did my best putting it back together and still had a handful of screws left over haha. Still works, but I'm hesitant to use again. Maybe I'll try spraying some vinegar in it.

There's currently a recall on their popular U shape window AC unit due to mold growth.
