Are these are these sub $400 TCL 75" tvs decent? Just looks like they're 60hz is kind of the only downside I see for the price.

The only downside I see is this TV has a Direct-Lit backlight. I would spend a little more and get a full array.

I'm just kind of looking for a couple bigger size garage TVs that won't get used as much as my house TVs

I don't usually skimp on TVs I've got my oleds in the house but for the garage I thought maybe these would suffice

I have this cheapo one for my bathroom and it works well for the room. Hope it works well in your garage too!

Best buy selling TCL Q681F for $420 which is great price for a 75" TV with full array local dimming which is lot better than this Q5 series model. IMHO if you're planning to use this in your main living room, don't compromise on full array dimming, its makes a significant difference when it comes to color contrast and gets pretty bright compared to ones that don't have local dimming. The TCL Q681F and Toshiba M550 are one of the very few models in the budget pricing range offering more value with the features you'd expect from a mid tier tv

I bought this television last year when Costco had it for the same price. I like the TV and I am no TV expert but whatever processor they have in this thing is slow as hell. When you turn the television on, it takes a few seconds to be able to access anything. The power button on the remote doesn't actually power off the tv. It puts it in some type of sleep mode. Some nights if i accidentally hit any button on the remote, the TV turns on and I can't immediately turn it off. I have to wait for it to fully boot up before it turns off. With all of that said, it's a decent television. I digress.

this will be a great garage tv. I got a Vizio v series 75 a few weeks ago for my patio and it is great. I feel this isn't a great primary tv. but for a secondary or tertiary.
