Anyone run long distance with this thing? How is it for runs over 10 miles?

I'd also like to know. My wife is an avid runner and I'm always looking for good gifts for her. Any feedback from a long distance runner would be helpful.

For long distance people can be very particular about what they carry. A fanny pack with water bottle holster is common. If your wife already uses one of those then this would be superfluous. If she is the type that likes to carry a bottle in hand then this may be useful as a pocket to carry her phone, credit card, house key, gu packets.
I would try to find out what and how she carries her stuff on long runs (10+ miles is what I am considering a long run for the purpose of this response). If carrying a key, phone, etc seem to be an issue for her then this could fit a particular niche.
Personally I use a fanny pack with water holster for long runs. For marathon distance training runs I wear a vest with a water reservoir. Both of those have sufficient pockets that I would not use this Adidas pocket thing. I actually could see it having utility on shorter runs where a full water setup isn't necessary. For those instances I just need somewhere to hold my phone and a key.
Damn it. I think I just talked myself into buying this thing.

For marathons and halfs she uses a vest. Her daily runs are just a little fanny belt. You are right though, it's very particular and I'd hate to get her something that is duplicative and doesn't really offer anything better. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Big Grin

Look at the packs by Nathan that also includes a small water flask. They are good and don't bounce.

For anything 7 miles or less, I find that a water bottle in one hand. My phone and ID in the other hand with a cheap grocery store blue rubber band for grip support. Anything beyond 7 miles, my Nathan hydration running vest has all I need. This is a little too bulky for a short run, but not necessary for a medium-long run.
