Same here they were greatly reduced when Sears left.

Sad that this is the "deal" price now, and shipping kills it for me.

The sad truth is that Gladiator quality dropped significantly after 2019. Price markup is everywhere globally, but the cheaper alloys and materials used is evident if you own anything pre-2019 vs what is sold today.

For example, you would laugh at how easily the new workbench surface tops ding just by dropping a ball point pen on them. The old ones would barely scratch if you dropped a vice on them.

50% off seems like what the regular price should be. Every corporation eventually cheaps out, asking for customers to pay the same price for stuff that's half as good as it used to be.

If you can find pre-2019 Gladiator stuff on FB Marketplace that's in very good condition, that's likely a better option. Basically, if it was sold when Sears was still around, that was peak Gladiator quality.

This was the impression I got looking at the reviews online. Alot of recent negative reviews about quality, welds, and damage during shipping. Even the 5 star reviews look flimsier than I expected.

Guess im going to stick with my original plan of building some wood racks.

Definitely, Gladiator shipping absolutely sucks now, too.

At least Whirlpool (parent company) gets credit for not shilling their product reviews. The reviews don't lie.

Shame about Sears and Gladiator. So many 30" Gearboxes (fully welded) for like $90 each with the surprise SYW points shenanigans.

I ordered some Full-Door Modular Gearbox's (GAGB28FDYG) and later noticed Amazon had them on sale for the same price. I missed out on my 5% cash back but hope this helps someone else planning to order.

You're not mistaken with Premier line vs Ready-to-Assemble line?

Workbenches and cabinets, including Premier. The caster wheels and welding quality is not as good as the early generation. They cut corners on Premier, too.

The cabinet stuff I've seen cheaper on Lowe's sales when those come around. Like this guy I picked up for $100 last year.
