Pixel 8 Pro 128 GB (Unlocked) with Pixel Watch 2 and Case bundle is available at the Google Store for $499.10 when you stack two discounts. Google Store is running a promotion for $400 off through the end of June 15 while providing the watch and case for free, and a 10% off promo code is available from Google Superfans. Both discounts stack together for a final price of $499.10 plus tax.
You can also add a trade-in for an additional discount. 6 months of Fitbit premium is also included in the bundle. This is one of the best bundle deals I have seen on the Google Store for an unlocked phone plus a watch and case bundle.

Agree on this. I had to buy a pixel for work and pixel 8 is really bad at heat management. Gets very hot just charging or running video or camera. My samsung fe20 was so much better and lighter too.
The 9 has generally been praised for the fixes and upgrades they have made to the issues. There are definitely issues with almost all Pixel phones but the 8 seems to be generally agreed upon to be one of the worse due to the modem issues (google it for countless information and stories).
Again, at the end of the day $500 for a modern day phone with a great camera and a free watch is not bad. Just personally I don't want to be stuck with an inferior product especially with the Pixel 10 coming out with a new Tensor chip that SHOULD be a big upgrade from 8/9.

I got $699 for my pixel 8 pro last year. I ended up paying about $150 to get a 9 pro.
when the pixel 10 comes out I expect the trade in values to be boosted again. will trade in my 9 pro. I thought I'd miss the huge screen but have enjoyed not having a brick in my pocket. with stay on the pro line non XL if they have that option again. the 8 pro trade in values will likely exceed $499 and so this could be a short term rental if you're in need of a better phone.
The Pixel 7+8 pros are absolute dogs that will infuriate you if you use your phone for more than just calls and texts. Iffy build quality, horrible Bluetooth issues, overheating, UI that becomes so laggy after ~6mo after a fresh wipe many times you'll literally not be able to use the device for minutes on end (even preventing a hard reboot), etc, etc. I speak from experience. They reviewed good out the gate, but the issues caught up with them and it's a big reason why they're worth so little after 1-2 years from release.
On the other hand, my Pixel 9 Pro XL and a family member's Pixel 9 have been pretty much rock solid since launch. Glad I gave them a second chance (generous trade in was the thing that pushed me over the line)

My pixel 7 works fine after updates

What are they paying for watch these days? It's been a while since I've flipped these things but if the retail is indeed $300 I think 175 eBay or something might be a deal. Let me check and report back
Okay eBay says 150 new... So perhaps I can get lucky on marketplace for 135.
