I like the 12v drills. I keep a set at my camp for misc use. Unless you're running 3inch screws all day the 12v set will get you by and it's a bit lighter.

Id say 12v is good for general DIY or maintenance work where you dont want to carry as heavy of a tool all day.

That said... You can get some decent deals on 20v sets where the price savings from 12v to 20v isn't that much.

My dad prefers the 12v since its not as heavy.

I agree. I have both the 12v and 20v lines and either do fine for everything from removing mower blades with the 12v impact wrench or building a deck using impact and drill. I do use my 20v line for when I'm doing exactly what you said 20+ 3in screws in a single run. Great lines of tools and most of the chargers support both 12v and 20v.

The title is incomplete. It just ends at "drive". Pretty sure they were trying to say the impact wrench.

That being said, the deal is for a free tool. There are several to choose from.

I got this deal recently. Keep in mind these xtreme batteries are not compatible with the original battery line.
