Anyone have this, or can recommend a decent low end full sized blender? My old one, still works, but has never been great at blending, and currently is pretty awful with larger mixing like with ice cubes, or smaller mixing like with protein powder...I don't really use a blender often, maybe a couple times a year and then not using it for a few years because I forget I have one.

I don't have this setup so I can't attest to it's quality. I have a ninja blender which works for me, but it's far from top-of-the-line. I am like you though - I blend very infrequently and when I do my blender works and it's good enough.

Given your infrequent use I'd recommend spending your money on something else. You'd probably find more joy investing in something else you use more frequently in the kitchen or elsewhere. Your current blender will likely serve you well those few times a year you use it. I suspect if you buy something new and fancy you'll use it a bunch in the beginning because it's new and you want to justify buying it then that feeling will wear off and your fancy new blender will collect dust since you didn't actually need it.

Now if you really really want something new I'd recommend watching Project Farm's video on blenders on YouTube. He always appears fair in his assessments and I've bought products he's tested in the past and have been satisfied.
