Never again am I buying a gaming laptop. They underperform compared to desktops, get hot as hell, battery degrades, take up space on the desk, are a pain to clean up the dust that builds up inside, can't repair easily, and upgrading options are limited. Edit: Hinges will eventually wear out and break. The battery will swell and you will have to remove it and have the AC adapter plugged in all the time.

I bought mine for the wrong reasons. I only use it as a desktop. I never take it with me. It's on my desk the whole time, cluttering it up since I have another laptop there and two monitors, one for connecting it to my gaming laptop whenever I watch films and the other connected to a PC on the floor.

The 13/14th gen Intel issues never affected laptops. And bios fixes have been out a while for desktop. I think the Nvidia driver issues have been resolved.

Thanks, the Nvidia issue was related to hardware issues/manufacturing defects with not having the correct number of ROP's, not driver related.

They fixed it almost immediately, it only affected less than half of 1% of GPUs, and only affected 5090 and 5070ti desktop GPUs, not mobile versions like in this laptop. This laptop was released after the issue was already identified and fixed either way.

no Nvidia had driver issues separate from their ROPs problem... nvidia drivers affected most cards for games, even devs would advise to reroll to older drivers
