I mean this sincerely, what's the point of your post?

Are you trying to say something without actually saying it?

They, for whatever reason, think buying a made-in-china product on Amazon from a chinese vender is a bad thing. I guess they would rather some american "company" dropship the product at a higher price so they feel better about themselves.

Well, that's one reductionist opinion.

In reality, adhesive science is one area where the United States is world-class and China is not. Whether it be adhesives for tape, automotive, or even dentistry the US, Japan, Switzerland, and Germany are the forerunners. China is not at their level yet.

If you have a simple project in mild conditions, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this tape. If however, you need a tape that's actually tested and obtained industry certifications, or works in extreme conditions, I'd recommend looking at something like Nashua Extreme Weather or whatever applies to your project. I have no animosity against the Chinese people, they are masterful at prototyping and quickly building, but they are not at the level of top-tier countries in adhesive science. There's a reason many Chinese products still utilize 3M adhesives.

That's not the same thing. The link is correct but the one listed here must be sold out. It was 2 inches by 55 yards. The one you see is 2 inches by 65 feet.

Dead deal!

That's a thoughtful, intelligent take on worldwide, industrial adhesive production.

But I think you've missed the overarching point.

The person in question, "ten80," has most likely never contemplated the nuances of adhesive manufacturing.

I believe this person is more interested in stoking the flames of anti-Chinese sentiment than in examining the ability of adhesives to stick at low temperatures.

I dont think i missed that point, but I just feel it's a foolish proposition to conclusively assume someone else's intentions. He could have just as easily been trying to point out that it's from a manufacturer that doesn't have a major reputation in the field, or he may have just found the long company name funny, or he may even believe in trying to buy domestically to spur domestic consumption and jobs. I just took the information and moved on.
