You can use something like a branch to hit on the back of the blade so you can do things like split wood into smaller pieces with it. You can chop through bone easier and use the flat side to crush stuff like nuts.

2.2 inch blade, no mention of steel type, aluminum handle, all seem like downsides to me.

yup this mini full tang cleaver can be a go-to blade for light backpack camping, a good tool for batoning kindling and chopping herbs

Looks like it would be better than a standard pocket knife for chopping up meat and veggies for campsite cooking. Not better enough to justify buying and carrying a second knife IMO. But, for some it might be. The chiseled edge could make for a good pry bar, I suppose.
