Ratchet just failed, at my fault.
The newer 120 tooth version of this set is on sale at Lowes and HD for 79$ .
The 120xp ratchets I have are as smooth as my new 100tooth snap on.

Agree it's a great set. I've been using the 120XP set and has been excellent! Scooped it up for $45 on a pre BF deal in 2022. Can't go wrong with 120XP sets.

You wouldn't believe how handy those are.
I work on a lot of engines often accessing fasteners in very confined areas.
I use an extra long wrench or even 3/8 to 1/4 adapters to break stuff loose then use the ultra fine tooth 1/4drive flex heads or even a 1/4" gearwrench or micro ratchet with a bit adapter to bring them out.
Not only are the drive tools more compact the sockets themselves are physically smaller. Thinner wall shorter height makes a difference in difficult areas.

Trouble with the Quinn is if you lose a socket or break one ie the 10mm which it does happen with use, they don't carry the sockets individual.
Also the gearwrench you can get on Amazon fleabay or go to a local napa and get a repair kit for the ratchet.
The gearwrench also has the gimble drive which is very handy, as well as the 15mm sockets.
For light/hobbyist use the Quinn is good for the dollar.

If you need a link to this better deal, here is the set that's being sold at Lowe's: 1/4-in 3/8-in Drive Standard (SAE) and Metric Shallow/Deep Socket Set 68 -Pieces https://www.lowes.com/pd/GEARWREN...5013
It does NOT include the little gimble though.
I came in here just to see your reply. You are slow today..took you 4hrs to replied....LOL

Have tried to create more friction on the hinge, and many other small tweaks, and can't seem to find a way to keep the latch's from making closure "more difficult than necessary"
Anyone else notice this issue with the latch with this set?
Possibly they tweaked the manufacturing to make this more usable?
It's a small detail, but the set is So good, that's the biggest failing, it fights the user to close it easily, especially with only one hand free, it's nearly impossible.
