These prices are pretty much the lowest they get. Theres a lot packed into these consoles so they can't go extremely cheap on them.
Damn, I got the Series S for $150 thanks to someone posting the Verizon slickdeal about it 2ish years ago. Insane to think 2 years later it is more than double!
They are fully backwards compatible for all PS4 games

$50 off VR2?
It was $350 before and they hardly sell it. Those who bought it probably already returned it, or resell it for less than $300 including other accessories.

I'm brand new to the world of Playstation, my husband just told me on the weekend he wanted to get one, so I offered to look into deals. He wants the ps5 slim disc console. If these prices suck, and we can expect better prices come Prime Day or sometime soon, please let me know!

Over the holidays (Nov/Dec) it was 375 digital, 425 disc. That was the Fortnite bundle, and for reasons I'm too old to get, the codes had higher resale value than a game. Of course, that was before tariffs, and Astrobot is a pretty good pack-in, so I wouldn't feel bad about getting one of these.
If Dell gets in on the offer, many have been able to stack Amex deals and various rewards.

Thanks, sounds like this is a pretty decent deal if he doesn't want to wait for BF. Also, I didn't know Dell sold these game systems! I've got some kinda deal from Dell right now on Amex. Will have to check the threshold I have to hit vs if Dell matches these sale prices, etc. I'm also curious if Amazon may match the price but throw in some bonus something or another. I'll look around a little before I pop on it.

Added: My amex offer is spend $500, get $100 back. Dell currently doesn't have the ps5 Slim standard (disc) version, just the digital or the Pro. I'll check tomorrow to make sure they don't add anything at Dell, but for my purposes, I'll do Sony. BUT if we wanted the Pro, it would be $599 after the $100 amex cashback or, if Dell matches Sony tomorrow, it would be $549. That would be worth it for anyone looking for the Pro. Possibly some promo codes could bring it down, I don't know - they always have when I get laptops at Dell.

There's plenty to play on them… Maybe you need to look at some of the top rated games over the last 4 years

Yup 5 years and 500 bucks later still remakes and remasters. Everything else can be played on the computer
