these adapters can power a device (like a flash drive, mouse or keyboard), but only low-power devices (< 5v/1A) … not meant for power delivery or powering or charging high draw devices - correct me if I'm wrong

That's a steal. I got an Ankrt two pack for about $10, if I recall. This Ugreen has been popping up a lot lately with good reviews. Any opinions that I can keep in mind if I decide to get one of their products?

Is this strictly for data transfer? I don't see it anywhere about charging a device.

Another thing – if your power bank only has a USB-C port and your charging cable is USB-A, don't try to bridge the connection using a USB-A female to USB-C male adapter. It won't work for charging. Instead, use a proper USB-C to your device cable.
Last time these were posted, I ordered them for $4 and Amazon promptly lost the order..I find it curious how this ONLY happens with deals that are better than others they offer...fortunately they refund but that's not the point, LOL

The 4 pack usb 3.2 to usb c is the best deal. 3.2 is backwards compatible w/ 3.1 and 3.0 so might as well get that one if you're looking for usb 3.x to Usb-c

A data transfer cable always does charging. A charging cable rarely does data, mostly because it doesn't have the added wiring for data, and as a security feature so you can reliably plug into public charging ports without the concern that they may also be hacking your device and stealing your data or installing malware.

Unless your charging cable disconnects the data pins, this does not hold true. To be sure you'll need something like this adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FA9GXKM

Yup, USB Condoms are a thing. Had to get a few before I flew to China (on the insistence of my IT manager at the time). They've come in handy, specially at airports.

I'm curious to know how well the UGreen option performs compared to the other.
