Never really understood this product, you are losing any health benefits of eating pineapple by drinking in the corn syrup.

I'm not a health fanatic by any sense of the word, but I really never understood this product

Not corn syrup. It's sugar.
No worse than most dried pineapple as far as added sugar.
Fruit is better preserved in syrup than juice.
Syrup also has a longer shelf life.
