HOWEVER a huge issue with the waterdrop is the release of dichloromethane and xylene from the filter membrane due to manufacturing standards. No answer from water drop so best to avoid this brand. I'm trying to look for an alternative brand the replace this with.

I've been on the fence about these systems, the sale is tempting.
I'd like something like this, but the refills at Whole Foods are fine for now. They have RO m, distilled and Alkaline options.
But if you email them about making a purchase, suddenly they remember you exist.
