Unpopular opinion: I think Icon wrenches are overpriced. Even with the 40% off discount. I think they are on par with Husky wrenches. Warranty wise.
I know that project farm did a video comparing various brands, and icon came in at the top, but dollar for dollar I just don't see it. Most people aren't going to overstress their tools like in project farm. If you are misusing your tool, it's on you. And even if you are husky and icon have a great warranty.
For your average user, I don't think they will be doing some serious work to warrant a tool breakage.

ICON exceed the ASME strength standards by a wide margin, much stronger than Husky or Kobalt.

The worst part about using the warranty on the Husky or Kobalt is that the stores wont break open sets to warranty a single piece. They always say you have to exchange the entire set. If you have lost one of the wrenches, you are out of luck. HF will break up sets to warranty a single piece.

One great bargain at 40% off ICON is the 5 piece "mountain" set. Comes out to $138, so much cheaper than the Mountain or Mac set (and you get local warranty exchange):

This has been my experience with HD, but not Lowe's. Lowe's always tells me to just go grab what I need and bring it back to CS. I do that, they check me out and send me on my way.

Could you buy a new set. Take out the missing piece to get do warranty. Then put that new piece back and return it?

Yeah, that's how you do it if CS wants to play that game. You buy the new set, swap your broken tool, and refund it. There's that whole set they wanted. Either way, they'll send it back to the manufacturer. I don't know why they have to make it difficult when either way, both ways end up the same outcome.

Obviously you have not had cheaper wrenches slip on tight rusted bolts and round the edges and you are left to cut it off or some other PITA method for removal. At that point, you realize why people pay the extra for top quality wrenches. This is particularly true on suspension or front end components. Husky may get the job done 90% of the time but in that moment when they turn your 2 hour project into a 4 hour one with a bloody knuckle, you will wish you spent the extra 60 or 70 bucks. Another way to look at it is from the perspective of saving money by doing your own work. Changing your own brakes and other things will pay for your tools with one job. One terrible experience where your wrenches rounded a nut or bolt and you may never attempt it again. Good tools make all the difference in a job going smoothly. Working on cars is not easy and not losing your mind is priceless. Icon is a very good value at the 40% off.

Anyone here with that Quinn Master Impact set? I am in need of an impact set for car/truck maintenance. Seems like a decent deal. Thanks.

Yep, I've done exactly that.

But that ads another 20 mins to what should have been a 5 min transaction...
