I bought a pair of these this past fall. I'm not an audio professional or an audiophile. That being said, these are AMAZING! If you're thinking about buying them, do it now, they are totally worth it. I wear them for 8 hours or more every day as a headset for phone calls, they are comfortable, battery lasts multiple days in standby mode, and they simple rock. Stop thinking about it and just buy them. Seriously.
Thanks for sharing, but those are completely different technology. Those are only bone conduction so the audio is generally a 5/10 and you can feel them vibrate when the sound gets loud. These are a mix of both sound vibration and tiny speakers I believe pointed directly in your ears so the sound quality is much better - I'd rate them personally a 7/10 for audio quality (but for this type of headphone a 9/10).

This is a good deal right? Seems to be cheaper than all other recent sales.

Anyways thanks for the post, I finally caved and bought it, starting my marathon training and my old openmove just won't cut it anymore

Seems like a great deal. Sad that the mini doesn't go this low.

No clue the difference and I am sure this is better, but Costco has the OpenRun SE for only $80 right now:

I totally agree… just surprisingly clearer sound with good base and full range. And having a standard charging connection is great.

I've been using the Titanium and Air for awhile now on my runs and I love them. I don't see a need to upgrade yet but my wife has the first Open Runs and loves them. Great price for them for sure.

I think this is the best price for these I have seen.
Thanks OP I got a pair. I love to wear the Open Run SE for snowboarding but the SQ is terrible.
Also the mics on the old unit suck lol

I've been running with these headphones for years. Personally I prefer this one, the Openeun SE over the Pro for one reason--the magnetic charger. I can come home and just stick them on my charger instead of fiddling with a USBC cable.

ed: since someone also mentioned sound quality--i am willing to bet you won't notice. I'm pretty convinced "bone conduction" is just a marketing gimmick. it's two tiny speakers that just shoot sound into your ears. if you crank them up you can hear the speakers a few feet away.

I went from the Titanium, to the Open Run to the Open Run Pro (1).

I would not hesitate to recommend making the jump from Titanium to something later. That's a great upgrade in sound and comfort. The increase beyond that is more incremental though.

Have not tried the Pro 2 yet - but have heard great things. If I was still using the Titanium I would probably just go straight to the Pro 2.

But I kinda like the proprietary magnetic connector on my "old" version though. Seems like it would hold up better than a physical plug, and it's super convenient to attach to the headphones. I bought some extra cables from amazon (2 cables for $10). I keep one extra in my bag, and one at work.

I love the utility of the OpenRun Pro's that I have. They do seem to crackle during playback on Spotify intermittently. Not sure why. The utility of these open ear headphones greatly outweigh the playback crackles though. I would hope that these 2nd versions have a better connectivity than the first. (Using a Note 20 Ultra 5G)

I like Shokz alot. Have used them for years. Not just running, but doing thing around the house and office where I dont want my ears plugged. Battery lasts very long as well. Cheap knock offs made by the chonese are never good at this technology. Thats my experience. They last me a long time.

usb-c is a huge upgrade for these. I use the Pro2s much more because the proprietary charger on the older models was a pain.
