I don't know why you're getting downvoted but isn't Epic getting rid of their launcher or somthing? It's better on steam or Ubi launcher and the game is pretty good and has good amount of players still playing it. Also plays well on legion go and rog ally.
If you want more money to got to the people making the game, rather than just the store that sells it, you should buy from anyone but Steam.

that is not the consumer's problem.... in fact they could release them on GOG for non DRM, that's all that matter to me
games on EPIC are not cheaper, neither are games exclusive to their malware launchers
as a customer I could care less, they can go bankrupt for all I care, it's not my responsibility to look after their finances
so let's stop pretending to be paragons of virtue signaling

Steam forbids this. They have MFN clause that specifies that the end price must be the same, even while their cut is much, much bigger. While Steam has a bigger reach (and has fanboys like you) games can't afford to lower the prices, because they'll get less money for each game sold on Steam.
Let's not pretend to hang out on deal websites, while cheerleading for a company that makes games more expensive for everyone. Steam is a massive tax on the whole industry. And they must be laughing all the way to the bank with your money.
