Honda was supposed to exit the mower business two years ago. Did they change their mind? Great mowers.

Old stock. $800 mower isn't a fast seller

maybe. price might actually go up, as supply gets low and people get desperate.

My 20+ year old basic Murray with a Briggs and Stratton motor might have finally kicked it last weekend. I know Honda mowers are supposed to be good, but can you really not get a long life out of cheaper mowers with a Briggs motor these days? Like a Toro is half the price.

Crap Murray lasted a very long time. 4 Hondas in last 8 years. Never again. They aren't as great as they are cracked up to be.

I've had a Honda mower for the last 12 years and it still rocks. It's been cutting 3 yards a week for the last 3 years. It still rocks.

I got one for $180, like new to backup my Ego. Both top of the line.

I had a Honda mower from 1978 that died a few years ago, and really it still works just the self propel broke and parts are really expensive for it. So I bought another new Honda and it's definitely cheaper and flimsier, I doubt I'll get 30+ years out of it but so far it's trouble free for the few years I've owned it.

I just mowed the yard at my inherited house with my 32+ year old honda mower. Still runs great, and with the plastic deck, no rust. I have had to do a few small repairs, but I could easily do them myself. I'll bet the new units aren't as robust as the vintage movers.

All that said, I replace it with an EGO last year for several reasons. One is that at I'm become an "Old Guy" and the EGO is so much lighter and easier to maneuver. I also like not having to buy gas.
