Old model. I think I paid that new. Was way too loud on lowest settings. My mesa's and Engl don't have that issue. It also had some hiss. Otherwise it was a great amp. Might buy the v2.

PRS is known for its quality but is overpriced. It is important to consider the value of products and not just the price. While PRS may have a good reputation, it is not always the best choice. It is crucial to weigh the pros and cons of different types of amps and combo sets, as well as comparing them to find the best fit for your needs. It is important to practice more than collecting.

For those who prefer tubes, the extra cost of classic circuit-based tube-only head/combos is typically more expensive than adding separate gain stages. Some non-tube amps have better tone/patch choices than tube-only amps without pedals. Being a tube/valve purist can be expensive, and paying for brand names is not important. Tubes are preferred for picking soft to harder dynamics, which some non-tube amps (so far) can still do, just well enough; but not as much(to date that I've seen).

Additionally, adding gain stages with multi-units are far cheaper than a bunch or separate units. Overall, the focus should be on quality and value in the music industry. Your buying practices determine the market prices.

So many parts and ways to skin a cat, are of course subjective; but guitar amps, effects and total cab IR needs are generally common here. Yes, even among so many flavors, human interface types, and differences; that do include the subjectively uncommon.
