Intel has fallen so much. Remember their $1000+ extreme edition processors?

Corperate efficiency over innovation will do that

Is this the best upgrade in the price range? I am still rocking a 5600x but I feel like its bottlenecking my 3080 (will be upgrading this to 5080 eventually).

Well Intel has added the "i9"/"Ultra 9" ls the 7 is no longer the top tier.
Of course....Even that is only going for $600 on Amazon.

Which CPUs does your current motherboard Support?
I presume you will be getting new MB and RAM?

You will be hard pressed to find anything from AMD that is competitive at this price Range.
Intel just has a glut and huge sales right now.

For Pure Gaming...The Intel 14th Gen may still have this chip beat...but I think recent updates narrowed the gap.

The Best Gaming CPUs will be the latest AMD chips with 3D Cache, but you are going to pay for the premium performance.

The New Egg Deal that includes 32GB of DDR5 Ram will be a hard deal to beat.

Thank you I pulled the trigger on the Newegg deal for $289. Do you have any recommendation for a good MB that is on a budget? I am using an asus x570 gaming plus Wi-Fi at the moment.

Amd can compete...9700x and 7800x3d. Additionally you can likely snag a b650 mb cheaper than z890.

The AMD CPUs aren't competitive at $269.
