I had this combo the batteries aren't the best, the head on the weed wacker broke on me. I would spend a little more something on a dewalt or makita, they're better quality.

Still showing $199 for me. Might depend on region. I'm in Florida.
Yes, please share a link. I'm seeing $50 off the same kit but no free items.

I have a 0 20 acer yard, and I'm able to get it mowed with two 4Ah batteries when it's mowed every week. I'll have to switch out the pair about 75% of the way if it's thicker. The edging and weed eater is fine with a 4Ah. 2Ah just won't be enough unless it's just touch-ups. Overall, I'm pretty happy with all my craftsman tools.

I have been using their battery operated mower and weed Wacker for several year. Plenty powerful, batteries are still going strong.

I found this same trimmer at Goodwill, but there's no price tag on it. Brought it to the counter, asked and they said, it's $9.99. Didn't need one, but you can't ever have too many tools. No battery came with it, but I knew my drills packs would fit it. It works fine. But I have a DeWalt trimmer, on the head, there's 2 lines coming out of it. It's the 20V model that folds in half. As it spins both lines cut the weeds. This Craftsman, however has only 1 line. It cuts weeds, but the DeWalt is way more efficient, essentially cutting twice as much with its 2 lines. The Craftsman will cut, but you'll finish the job faster with the Dewalt. The Craftsman does fine on long grass, but if you're hacking bushes or anything thicker than a blade of grass, it'll probably struggle. I tried to use it to line up the edges of my lawn, but it'd take awhile to do. My DeWalt does edges like it's cutting butter. The trigger is variable speeds so press lightly to spin slow or squeeze down to go fast. Ive never cut anything pressing it down all the way, it's way too fast.
I'm sure you can return it if it doesn't work out for you. I guess I can see instances where the Craftsman thrives. Smaller yards that with just grass. If you need it to cut where the mower can't quite reach, this certainly would do it. It is super light tho, if you're a woman this may be just the right weight. Oh almost forgot, the line can only be replaced using Craftsman prerolled spools, I believe. At least that's what I thought and bought. Whereas the Dewalt you can use any line with the same thickness. I bought a big roll and you cut about 10 feet and run the line thru the head make sure both sides are even, then just turn the head clockwise or counter, till you have a couple inches on each side. The Craftsman's line is on a pre rolled spool. I bought 3 rolls for $10. When it's empty, remove spool from head and insert new spool in there.
