I got $26.36 total. Not sure if additional coupon USSS03 has anything to do with that.

I wish they made more flashlights with warmer LEDs. After using my 4000K LED flashlight I don't want to get anything colder than that.

they do make them, but typically, warmer tints are more expensive, as well as higher cri ones, so when they are binned/tested, those are probably a much smaller ratio to cool ones.

ICON flash light from harbor freight. It's not hot swappable though but you can open and resolder your high performance battery

Is this better than the Sofirn HS21?

I would have got this if it had Anduril interface. Sadly it doesn't so I'll stick with my $20 Wurkkos HD10 with Anduril which I love:

Thanks for the reminder concerning this. I'm not as up to date as in previous years but it drew my attention the old BudgetLightForum.com where I ran into a good discussion. Even though it's 4yrs old. https://budgetlightforum.com/t/an...rn/65927/9

I don't own the HS21, but I would say "probably not". There are some differences that make the two, well, different, but overall I guess it depends on your preferences.

Some of them -

The HS21 has a rotating switch to choose wide, spot, or red. That makes it more user-friendly than the 42 where you have to click up to 9x (3 triple-clicks) to go from one mode to another. For example, if you are in "wide" mode, you will need 3 triple clicks to go to "spot" mode. If you miss one of the triple clicks (and make it double or quadruple) you get to start over again. Not a problem if you are pretty much just in one mode, but if you switch a lot it can be infuriating.

The 21 has a center head which is quite a bit bigger than the corner head of the 42. This maybe leads to better illumination, but also, when it comes to headlamps, smaller can be better, especially when you are moving around you want the smallest, lightest lamp flopping around on your forehead.

The moonlight mode on the 42 is VERY low (I think 1 lumen). This may be good if you are hiding out and don't want to be seen reading something close-up, but I prefer a more usable say 20 lumen that you can use to walk around. The low mode is then relatively strong, so it's a big jump between moon and low on the 42. Not sure how it is on the 21.

The 21 has regulated output for all 3 LED types, which is good. Not sure about the 42. Also, SFT40 spot LED on the 21 vs inferior SST40 LED on the 42.

The 21 also has IR motion sensors, so you can control it via hand waving/holding.

If I had the choice I'd take the HS21, but like I said, comes down to your particular preferences.

Not sure there are any Anduril UI lights which have the three (spot/wide/red) options. It would need a secondary toggle/rotating switch but shouldn't be impossible.
