Every PNY card I've had has died. I stick with SanDisk & Samsung
I've personally had issues with Samsung cards in certain devices. Most recently I had one in my TrimUI Brick and it didn't like the Samsung card at all. Had to swap it to another device that had a PNY card and it worked fine. There were other reports of people having issues with legit Samsung cards and it wasn't a formatting problem.

Just got a 256gb card with same specs for my dash cam and it was the same price as this. Seems like a good deal to me.

watch out the Walmart seller reviews stating people received counterfeit cards. I immediately cancelled my order.

how would this be for a dashcam?
The speed class of these cards makes them suitable for 4K dash cam recording, but they are not 'high endurance' class cards. You want HD cards for dashcams because they endure a lot of abuse (temperature, vibration, and constant writing & rewriting). I'd pass on these for dashcam use.

I stop buying PNY drivesbecause getting then replace threw the warranty is terrible. Plusthe only TF drives that ever failed on me and they didn't want to warranty it without all kinds of documentation. I have had less issues with motherboards getting warranty support.

This exactly.. Tried few different cards and all have had issues in my dashcams except the Samsung Pro Edurance cards...

How is the quality of this SD card?
I used to own quite a few PNY video cards.
From when I used to engineer, the lifetime of PNY solid state storage was significantly lower than more expensive competitors, which did lead to some warranty replacement field issues.
The real question is the usage rate. If you are using this in a digital camera or as additional storage in a phone (lucky you for having a phone that still has MicroSD card support), you are probably fine. In a constant read/write environment, consider paying a bit more for a Samsung card.
But absolutely stay away from the real budget no/random named budget Chinese cards. I have never seen one hit the advertised read/write rates, and the failure rates are concerning if I cared about any data stored on them. I suspect this will change as China's tech sector continues to advance. But, they are not there yet.

Adding to my previous post, this is a good price for a solid (just not spectacular) brand 512GB card. This one should have some form of wear leveling, where writes are distributed across different sectors of the card to prevent premature failure. At this price point, I highly doubt it has redundancy writes (write to two spots on the drive just-in-case one fails). But for most use cases, this should be perfectly fine.
