Not necessary in the slightest. Hardly anyone who has played this has played either of the first two. I've never played the first, and I've played maybe 10 hours of the second (which does not hold up). This was my first Witcher game.
+1 to getting the complete edition. This is a great price for the original game plus two DLCs, and it will definitely save you money when you want to play more Witcher and you've finished the main quest.
If it was on atari, I would jump!
If it included a Billion Dollars and a deserted island, I'd jump!
But also...great game (haven't played the DLC...so maybe if this was on PS5 I'd jump?).
