That ribbed grip tape is a deal breaker for me. The worst for comfort and control. Can't understand why they use it. It screams 'cheap paddle'.

Get something carbon fiber, at least. I started with an inexpensive niupipo set off Amazon. More control and you can likely get it for a few more bucks only.
