Do not recommend even at this price. I owned this for a year and hated it. Returned this to Costco. You'll rarely use all of the grill space and because it's larger it will run cooler, burn through a lot more pellets which are expensive, and just frustrate you to no end. Had to disassemble twice to clear auger in winter. It's chinsy metal and just lets heat escape like crazy. Expensive long term. Upgraded to pro 575 and I'm burning like 1/2 of the pellets.
Got Home Depot to price match to get mil discount too. Great price!
I did a smoke recently. 3 racks ribs . 1 piece of brisket flat. 7 sausages.
I love the extra space. I was NOT going through pellets super fast at all. I love how this is simpler smoker. No PID. No WIFI . I found those things dont work right. So i went to a simpler smoker and will never go back.

It's just physics. It takes more energy to heat a larger less insulated house. Same with smokers and grills. I was amazed at how much better a 575 is in comparison to the cheap metal on the 34s. Even the motor and auger parts are pretty flimsy on the 34s in comparison. To each their own though!

Got one for a present 6 years ago. It's ok. I wouldn't pay this price for it knowing what it can do. I replaced it with a Masterbuilt Gravity fed. Love the versatility of it better.

Let me save you all years of learning.
Eventually after the low temperatures that never go high enough for long , the long wait times and pellet hassle, you reach Jedi master level and join the force known as Charcoal.
Once you are a Jedi CharCoal master you never return to the dark side, ever.

Contrary to what others have stated.. I think bigger is better. I've stuffed my Century 885 4 times already for BBQs with friends, meal prepping, Thanksgiving, and a recent party for 60 people. If plan to only cook for you and a small family then tou may be better off with a smaller one but if you plan on doing any hosting then bigger is better.

I have had a similar experience. Mine is running strong still since COVID. No idea though if it's not as efficient as other smokers as its the only one I've ever had. I choose to utilize all the space and freeze the leftovers

Costco sells this model for 399 regularly, not sure how this is a FP deal.

I love mine. I use it almost weekly to smoke various stuff each week for meal prep... ribs, wings, chicken, brisket. I'd rather have more space in the smoker than not enough. Pellets are cheap. Would recommend this model, but not at this price.
