These work in Kobalt, Snapper, Masterforce 80v machines after a bit of case modification. Videos on YT/Reddit

Idk how prices have changed on these batteries but I paid $90 for this exact battery refurbished back in August.

Remember, these are old used batteries that have been refurbished. The manufacturer feels this warrants only a 90 day warranty compared to 2 years on new.

Not once have I purchased a refurbished item where it was "old and used". More than often they arrive looking brand new, mostly returns after purchase. Especially with batteries for tools and yard equipment. Think of all the "hacks" folks post on here, some bundle or another, people want the tool while already owning a few or more batteries for the platform therefore return the battery for a refund making the wanted tool quite cheap. These returns, can't be sold as new even if never used. The manufacturer inspects to make sure there hasn't been any damage and sells them as refurbs.

Of course the warranty is never the same, they're dropping the price so much there's no funds incorporated to replace the batteries in a couple years if it does die prematurely.

Sure some have been returned for one reason or another with it not working. When tested and diagnosed, if it's something like a poor connection or crack in a casing, the manufacturer will do the quick repair and sell a ls a refurb. If the product is more than quick fix, they're tossed as it's not worth the effort to repair and sell.

If you all didn't know, majority of greenworks machines are much stronger when using the 80V 4.0Ah rather than the 80V 2.0Ah. Maybe because of the extra capacity of the 4.0Ah battery.

$124.20 cannot be justified with your words only. At the end of the day still a refurbished item with no prior history known. On the other side a manufacturer that gives you hell when you do a legit warranty claim on an item IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED !

These are a different battery capacity (2.0Ah). I have both an 80V 4.0Ah and a 80V 2.0Ah . In ideal conditions, I can mow my corner lot with self-propelled mower on one full charge of the 4.0Ah and about 1/2 my yard on the 80v 2.0 Ah.

I despise these batteries. If I run them to empty they won't recharge right away, I get a red light on the charger for 15 minutes/half hour. Sucks that I have 3 batteries and 2 chargers and in the Spring I still can't keep up with the mowing because I'm often stuck with dead batteries.

These look like the older, larger 4 AH version with only 3 charge indicator lights.
The latest model is shorter and has 4 indicator lights. It could be that these are New Old Stock that they want to move and make room for the new version.

There are some third party ones $79 for a 5.5AMP at Amzon. Not sure which one to get.

You're right - I did not realize that they weren't both 4 AMP each. Thanks for the correction.

the red light indicates that the battery is too hot and needs to be cooled down before charging. so it's not a big, it's a feature
