Wait, you don't get Epic's free weekly games? You missed out on the Jurassic Park game that is pretty good. edit. unless you're talking about Rockstar but then it doesn't matter where you buy it does it? sorry last edit, you will still need the Rockstar launcher. it's not as obnoxious as Ubisoft but still annoying. nothing pisses me off more than when I launch a game in Steam that has its own DRM and then Ubisoft isn't working or won't set me a two-factor authentication to my email in time to activate the two-factor Authentication. as an adult who doesn't get a ton of time to play games and focuses on one game at time spending half of that time trying to get a God damn Ubisoft launcher to work isn't worth it I will not buy Ubisoft games anymore because of it. which sucks because I like Anno, and winter sports game looked pretty fun but I would not buy it.

They ported from ps3/xb360 to ps4 and then ported that to pc. The pc version has more settings to tweak aside from 60 frames vs 30 on consoles
I do, but only because I'm a chronic deal hunter. I've never actually installed the epic launcher. The games are okay but usually can access them through Game Pass or Steam if I want to play them.
That's true, but I'd rather not fragment my paid collection of games if I can help it. Makes more sense to commit everything to one platform unless it's an absolute screaming deal that won't be matched by another store. In the instance that it's a rockstar title, sure it will install the rockstar launcher, but since all of my other games (including ones that don't require their dev company launcher) are on Steam, it only makes sense to continue all new purchases through Steam too. Usually the sales will be matched across all platforms at some point so it just becomes a game of patience at the very worst.
I just use PlayNite to catalog all my games, you can have it also launch the installations and actual games. It's not completely seamless 100% of the time, but it works well enough.
