Big "I never wore a seatbelt and I'm fine" energy. Buddy, UL exists for a reason.

On a more general note, if you want an ebike, get one with parts you can replace and that a bike shop is going to be able and willing to service.

Cheap no name batteries usually. You want a bike with Samsung or LG cells for safety.

Looking at the comments, and translating:
Die Verpackung aus Wellpappe war überraschend stabil. Keine Transportschäden, und der Aufbau war einfach.
(The packaging made of corrugated cardboard was surprisingly stable. No transport damage, and the assembly was easy.)

L'emballage en carton ondulé était étonnamment résistant. Aucun dommage pendant le transport.

Seems a bit sus.

I paid more than this just for the 13ah battery for my Bafang install a couple of years ago. Tough to wrap my head around a complete bike being this cheap.

at 200 bucks. I buy 10 of these before hitting the 3k "american ebike" -- and you are quick to assume they don't have UL. I agree these most likely don't b/c the cost of UL certification. But hey. Enjoy your 3k rebrand ebike with "replaceable part".
Samsung Galasuck fone were UL certified and they were blowing up. So spare me the false equivalency
.
Again, point to me the data that show these non UL bike are catching house in fire per week daily, Here or outside of USA.

And I wear my seat belt so you have so great comparison /s. Here's mine. Gun don't kill people, people kill people. That's why we allow anybody to buy AR-15 here for target practice at public places! yay! Certification!

yea but you're geting bafang. there's nothing wrong with paying more for higher quality. As long as it's not one of these trashing "white label" "america" product - you know what you're getting yourse into with something like this. Just don't pay 5x for some fake ass american company selling you the same bike with new label and "better customer services"

I have several chinese e-bikes, and they are a ton of fun for cheap!! Some with batteries 4-5 years old now. Doing great, zero problems.

so guess yours didn't blow up and burn everything down b/c you didn't have a "UL" sticker right?
