eGPU support? This thing is already a beast for all but gaming, but the Mac Minis thoroughly dominate this niche now. Still a good deal if you need a multi-core monster that's not a Mac for any reason
You are clearly not the target audience for this. It comes with 2x10G SFP+, this is targeted towards homelabbers and running multi-cluster setups. Its silly to compare with a Mac Mini....

They have a different product for that setup. This is for home lab ppl.

Yes. It does not have an Oculink port, but it supposedly includes an Oculink adapter that can be installed to provide the port.

The MS-A1 barebone does have oculink port. Weird.
Would the Ryzen 9 7945HX bottleneck a 9070xt?

Should be alright if you use an 8i OCuLink. If those exist yet.

I have the MS-01, but using it for custom software that records, transcodes, and uploads data from live events with many parallel threads to meet QoS demands. Portability was also a concern.

Maybe by the pure TDP of 55W the R9 has

If you can push it at 75w without issues it should be fine

Since this is directly from minisforum would the tariffs come into play for this one?

Bad form to reply to my own comment, but I saw a couple of written reviews that stated it came with an Oculink adapter. However, I just watched the video review from Level1Techs and he stated that it DOESN'T come with the Oculink adapter (maybe a difference between review units and shipping units?). However, PCIe to Oculink adapters are readily available on the Internet for $30-$35.

Better to build your own system around a bd790/5 minisforum motherboard. They really are excellent. Unless you need the dual 10gb but there's always pcie x16 for that.
