Decent deal under old standards... Well until the tariffs smack us in the face here at the last of "normal" commerce, this was predictable.

I am a camper with an RV who has NOT wanted to move to 12 volts perfectly happy with my propane, generator and shore power... But you can't buy a new travel trailer without a 12 volt fridge now days and so you are stuck and essentially forced to head in the solar, lithium ion direction. Time and tech move on.

12 volt Lithium Ion tech simply has NOT been ready for prime time in camping until I'd say the last year. One the batteriers as recently as two years ago were going for a thousand bucks for a group 24. Then the prices started dropping like a rock at first on recycled batteries with bad safety and inconsistency to now where you can buy a well made 100AH group 24 size battery with all the safety stuff around overcharging auto cutoffs if certain parameters etc. AND, you had to buy converters inverters and wiring to make it all work along with the solar panel tech. But my new Trailer has that all built in AND I can really, really, swap out lead acid batts with lithium ion and the computer converter takes care of everything and its OEM. The thousand bucks is built in without really raising the prices. I bought a 24 still on the lot cheap but not a cheap trailer. Did you see the Ford trucks and broncos going up 2K here?

I just bought two for 170 each. I could have gotten two for 140 each that had lower reviews and one acknowledged lack of safety device. So, what a buck seventy cents per amp hour? AND, it is a well reviewed high quality battery... from China.

But tool batts? We are still using the ten buck an amp hour standard for a decent deal? Think about it and it explains why Home Depot had 12AH DeWalt FlexVolt's for 120 at Black Friday...AND they were still making money.

So, I"m not surprised to be honest to see this in knockoffs. AND, if you watch reviews, the knockoff tool batteries have improved quality inside them over the last couple years... Yes, they are NOT as good as OEM DeWalts or other brands I imagine, but the economies of scale within China which produces approximately 95% plus of all that tech have peaked here of late.

Sorry, but the tool companies are NOW ripping us off on batteries. They are making a fortune on them...well until here soon, but even then, even after tariffs they could sell them for the ten bucks an amp hour and STILL be making a profit. IF commerce were to continue normally, I'd bet the Black Friday price I paid for the real DeWalt 12AH FlexVolts would become more the norm if only due to high quality knockoffs undercutting the tool company margins.

Wow...derailed but had to speak his truth

Got me a pair of dirt cheap"Lasica" M12 6ah batteries for a power wheels ride-on toy I modded from 6v to 12v that we eventually outgrew.

Needed a battery to pass it on with. Kept the 1x from the two-pack, it is at least on par with my OEM M12 4Ah. Was $30 last December for the pair or $2.5/Ahr. (not available currently on Amazon).
