Looks like this supports USB 2 data rates. So, good for low speed low power applications.

Only USB 2.0 speed. There are A-to-C adapters that actually give USB 3.0 speed.

The description also says nothing about quick charging. So expect slow charging at 5V/1A.

I have similar adapter and they get very hot when used for charging.

Please be aware this adapter uses 10k ohm resistor, not 56k ohm resistor. So, it can charge up to 3A but may burn out your device if your device does not support.

This type of adapter is outside of the USB spec. There are ones designed to mitigate the potential issues, but they are $10 each.

At that price of $4, I might as well get one since I currently have a month trial Prime membership.

Yep, I tested my TEMU stock - I do get only USB 2.0 speeds.

I tested a few OTG cables for USB-C to female-A (had to daisy chain a male to male A adapter in there too). Despite all pieces being USB 3.0 (blue color and signs), I only get 2.0 speeds from my USB-C enclosure. I wonder if my male A to male A is actually only USB 2.0.

I'll gamble for the price. These also come with rubber cords to attach to your cable.

These used to be $0.3 each on T*E*M*U before tariffs kicked in.

Grab some to recycle old 5V chargers with USB-C cables.

The main concern would be if you plug in a USB-C cable and the other side of the cable is connected to a charger. This may cause a short.
I'm using this as a backup when I travel. Some hotels and cars have only USB-A. So, it allows me to use the USB-C cables everywhere. Don't need to carry variety of cables with me everywhere.
Those adapters work fine with Apple Car Play and Android Auto
