Costco next is awesome, they just don't carry the entire collection (they are all sale) and super limited colors

Can somebody help me justify the price please? I'm not against paying this kind of money, but I do want to understand what I'm paying for.

You're basically paying for a lifetime warranty on a luggage. I used to be the person that would buy the $90 no name luggage at Ross. I honestly can't tell you how many I've donated that just fell apart on me. The handle breaks or becomes sticky and peels off, a wheel stops rolling, a zipper gets broken. Cheap crap, honestly. It doesn't have to be Briggs and Riley, but there's a reason a lot of pilots and flight attendants choose this brand or something like TravelPro. They're good quality, and have a lifetime warranty. It also depends on how much you travel. If you're traveling 1-2 times a year, this may not be worth it.

Ross has Samsung $69 if you got Europe size is a lot smaller
And a garbage bag is a few cents. You have no idea why this is a great deal if you're comparing it to Ross luggage.

Thank you!

Just to add to this. Completely agree on getting good luggages if you travel enough. However, not all travelpro is the same. I would say only their crew line or their top of the line platinum elite is worth getting. BTW they sell cr@p travelpro at Ross and Marshall's (I have bought them before and like you said eventually thrown away).

Every item in the ZDX collection [briggs-riley.com] is on sale apparently. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the collection description.

The Baseline collection [briggs-riley.com] is the best-rated. It compares well with Tumi's Alpha collection albeit quite cheaper. I was lucky to get a few on closeout sale 10-15 years ago from eBags, Sierra trading Post, and Bloomingdale's.

Baseline Expandable Wheeled Upright Suitcase, 24" - $220.97
X Collection 21 Carry-On Expandable Upright, Black - $251.30
Baseline Expandable Upright Wheeled Suitcase, 18", Carry-On - $137.97
Baseline Touring Bag, Black - $119.00
Baseline Weekender Duffle - $108.16
Baseline Vertical Tote, Black - $75.00
Compact Digital Case, Black - $28.34

I've looked into B&R and came away...not as impressed as the online reviews. Sure the warranty is amazing, if you live near a repair center. Otherwise you need to ship it and that's quite expensive.
Also the baseline carryon is obscenely heavy at 10 lbs! The Aer carryon was lambasted for being heavy at a bit over 8 lbs. Especially problematic when flying airlines that limit your carryon weight and you're using up more than half the allowed weight with an empty bag.
There's no perfect bag, but there doesn't seem to be anything that's in the sweet spot either - weight or dimensions always seem to fall short.
