I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. This is better than just about any "starter" bass I've seen. I'm semi-pro and have been playing for over 40 years. This is really a well made bass that doesn't need any improvements. The neck is reinforced with graphite stabilizing bars. The electronics are good quality. This is great out of the box. No upgrades are needed.

Good deal. Franklin Guitar Works (the seller for this item) is worth watching on Reverb. Picked up a Jackson CBXNT "Jackenbacker" a few weeks ago for $220 ($600-$750 regular new price depending on color).

There are a lot of lessons on YouTube. Take your time. Go slowly at first. Don't expect to play like Geddy Lee for a few years. Enjoy your journey and don't get discouraged.

Obviously I can. My initial comment referred to my purchase of the model I linked though. That model isn't $350 like you said it was. Read more closely next time.
