I actually use something similar to this almost daily. I prefer the other design with the stylus at the end. First, they're dirt cheap, the plastic models get you 24 for $20ish. Second, as you write if you have your phone in front of you, you can use the stylus super easily. This model seems like you have to choose between stylus and pen. I've used my laser engraver to redo the scaling on the sides so I have a measure from the non extended pen tip which I find more helpful than an arbitrary scale. If you go that route, just don't breathe in the cyanide gas fumes. Good find

This is very similar to a pen I picked up at Ollie's for my kids, it is one of the poorest quality items I have ever purchased. Pen doesn't even write well.
I bought this in yellow around Christmas. I do use it, it is a cute pen. Great stocking stuffer idea. The led light gets left on and drains the battery all the time and the pen is slightly heavy are the only negatives

For a much better multi-tool, I use swiss army. Mine the older version which has 2 Philip heads and 2 flat heads instead of the scissors. With this, I can pass theme parks (or any places that does not x-ray wallets) since it can be placed inside my wallet to get by metal detector. And most smart phone these days has the level bubble, flash light, and ruler. Swiss army brand is more expensive but offer real functionality.
This is the kind of stuff my mother-in-law gives me as gifts. I always say I'd rather get the old plastic rings from a 6 pack. Also trash, but at least useful if I need to catch sea turtles

I thought what the heck I'll throw it in the work van.
But the coupon didn't work for me so my interest went away.
I hate how amazon does coupons. why don't they have a standard promo code line at every checkout instead of having to click the link?
And if the promo code is listed in the product description, why don't they just add it automatically like they do with other checkbox coupons?
so irritating I rarely even try them because they only work 20% of the time for me
